The Telemedicine Symposium was well received and marked the first of its kind in Bolivia. Lectures in both English and Spanish were delivered along with sophisticated multimedia presentations. Physicians and many other members of the health care community attended the lecture series at San Juan de Dios Hospital. We were also able to broadcast a live audio and video transmission back to the Department of Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine by was of an advanced VideoPhone appliance.
