The surgical staff at Kathmandu's major teaching hospital received approximately $125,000 worth of supplies. Nepal's 1st Telemedicine Symposium was coordinated and directed by the AYUDAMOS team. The first 2 mm laparoscopic surgical procedure using local anesthesia in Asia took place during this project.
